Is it a beautiful day here in Sunny California. I am loving my Mission. I can feel myself grow everyday more and more! It is such a wonderful thing to have the gospel so strong in my life.
A quick idea for your Relief Society lesson. Maybe the talk by C. Scott Grow on Sunday afternoon will work. He talks about how we must be not only hearers of the word but doers as well for one can not come without the other. He talks about if you want to be apart of this wonderful gospel we fight for everyday in our lives than we need to act Christlike as well, that means we need to have important characteristics such as charity faith hope love etc... We need to do them because they are a commandment from the Lord AND because we want to help others.
I was sitting in bishopic meeting yesterday and Brother Hartman made an interesting comment about the priesthood. The Lord has given us the priesthood to bless the lives of others. Notice how we can not use the priesthood to bless ourselves. BUT by blessing the lives of others, we have also bless ourselves! It is a rotating circle my wonderful Mother, to see someone's life changed is a blessing in itself and helps me to raise my head even higher:)
I have gained much weight since leaving home and am currently 15 lbs. heavier. I have started eating healthy and am running a mile and a half 4 times a week(not including biking to peoples houses for appt.) I am gaining quite the muscle and losing a lot of weight! Tell sissy Happy Bday for me and also tell her that next month I plan to do the gluten free challenge of eating only Gluten free foods:)(doesn't include dinner appts.) Sooo excited to see results. Loving the work! Making my Family Proud!
