[RE: Chavez Family Baptism}"It was good to see such a wonderful family finally make that commitment to be baptized. It makes all the doors slammed in my face, all the persecution, all the rejection, worth that one. to see them happy as a family... it truly brings a light to my life. Missions are in no case easy. But this makes it all worth it. Because of the small kindness of a family friend, Monique Maleres, and the rest of the Maleres Family, they too now get to be together forever. How great is this gospel that we have received in this day and age. President Escubar of the Spanish branch stood up and in his comments pointed out, "We all need heroes. They show us the light. Today my hero is the Maleres Family." I have to say I agree with him. So many times we are left in the dark to find for ourselves the truth. and we have a tough time because we rely on ourselves instead of that higher being. The one true God that will bring us to the life and light of the gospel. How much do we owe our Savior for the perfect example he shows us. I was able to stand in as they were confirmed members. It was so great to be able to exercise that priesthood to feel the spirit in the room. I love this work."
[Excerpt from Family Letter]"I miss my family greatly. There are days where it seems too hard to bear...I miss my sissy so so much! I miss being able to sit down at the house and have conversations with her about the gospel and stuff! Dalton hasn't emailed me back yet. Is he mad at me? or just busy? Tell Chantry that even when I get home he better learn that Monday night is guys night for him and I to chill, so he better make no plans:) ...It's crazy to think about how little of time I actually have left. I only have one more winter! WHHHAAAA????? Awesome huh? I miss everyone! Tell them all 'hello'...
