A Voice I Love to Hear

Elder Christensen has written me a letter this week that I will be posting Sunday. I have been asked to speak in Sacrament Meeting about my sons successes in the mission field and blessings his family has received due to his service to our Father in Heaven. I felt as though I cheated a bit when I emailed my dear Elder and asked him to write a letter to our ward that I could read from the pulpit. He did just that!! Many of our loving ward members read this blog (thank you) and I don't want to ruin the surprise - haha.

BUT... because of the passing of Dakota's dear Grandma Johnson, I was able to talk to him last night as he was on his way to a dinner appointment. He has been sick with strep throat so he sounded tired and of course very upset about his Grandma. He asked about each family member individually and about funeral plans and sent his love to ALL his family. He closed our conversation with "Mother, know that I love you and I will talk to you in May" How sweet his voice sounded! It was definitely the bright spot of my day. This photo was taken the evening of Dakota's setting apart, November 30, 2010.
Have a blessed week - and hug your family close to your hearts everyday.
~ With love...Elder Christensen's mommy
